It provides appropriate analysis, reporting, and escalation to senior management and the Board of Directors, sets minimum standards for the company, and gives advice, guidance, and support for compliance risk management activities across the enterpriseThis position is responsible for ensuring that investment portfolios are aligned with targets (benchmarks or model portfolios) and that the firm has processes in place to provide and implement sound investment advice.This role is responsible for collaborating with business partners (line of business leaders, IRM, Audit) to ensure the identification and management of risks are consistent with policies and procedures.Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability, integrity, and credibility. They will be impressive in their inter-personal effectiveness and with regard to their accomplishments. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluates investment risk in portfolios for a wide range of financial investment products on a daily and long-term basis

Effectuate remediation as appropriate, including monitoring investment risk thresholds

Employ models and develop effective monitoring and reporting including tracking error, VaR, sensitivity analysis, trends, stress testing, and issue status

Report status, financial model output and issues to key stakeholders

Escalate matters to leadership and/ or governance committees as appropriate

Proactively counsel stakeholders and drive changes where necessary to assure effectiveness of programs

Work closely with Independent Risk Management to ensure procedures and processes are in alignment with the Risk Management Framework

Pls note - this is an office based position located at 401 S. Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC. This is not a remote / telecommute position.Required Qualifications:

2+ years of capital markets experience, desk analyst experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner

Ability to implement a solution and communicate, in clear business terms, the benefits of the proposed risk management approach-
