The SEO office consists of teams that will work closely with our Independent Risk Management group, and across our business lines and enterprise functions, to implement our corporate risk strategy, standards, and process.Wells Fargo Regulatory Relations (WFRR) oversees regulatory relations for Wells Fargo. It promotes a coordinated and cohesive approach to working with the regulators and leads the company’s efforts to have a sustained, proactive dialogue on risk management with all regulators. It is responsible for developing the strategy for regulatory engagement, overseeing regulatory interactions across the company, and ensuring enterprise-wide standards and consistency with regulatory interactions. WFRR is a new function reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer of Wells Fargo.Operational Risk Manager 4 - Regulatory Relations - Monitoring, Quality Assurance, and Oversight Testing This Operational Risk Manager role will report directly to the Monitoring, Quality Assurance, and Oversight Execution Team Leader. The person selected for this role will be responsible for:

Managing, monitoring, and overseeing adherence to the Regulatory Relations Policy and Procedures, including identification of areas of gaps, control deficiencies, and/or risks that are not properly mitigated via the execution of detailed testing procedures.

Managing the performance of independent quality assurance and testing activities for various regulatory engagement types, which are complementary to those conducted by the groups (e.g., by Group Regulatory Relations or GRRs) and by the Enterprise Testing group.

Facilitating the assessment of, and reporting on the results from, monitoring, quality assurance, and oversight activities.

This role will be visible, demanding, and rewarding, interacting regularly with key partners in WFRR, Corporate Risk, Control Executives teams, businesses, and enterprise functions (including Enterprise Testing, WFAS, and Legal) across Wells Fargo.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage the execution of all phases of Monitoring, Quality Assurance, and Oversight testing engagements, including planning, scope determination, testing strategy design and detailed procedures, test execution, and identification and reporting of potential matters requiring attention by Management.

Review and Evaluate process walkthroughs and related procedures, identifying and understanding key manual and automated controls, and control design evaluation in conjunction with the control environment.

Manage engagements to planned dates, resources, and commitments.

Manage the execution throughout the life cycle of the review activities to ensure the adequacy/accuracy of scope, sampling methodology, testing approach, potential issues, work paper preparation, adherence to performance standards, etc.

Develop testing team subject matter expertise and a thorough understanding of the processes and activities reviewed.

Action review feedback positively and take appropriate steps to address areas requiring attention.

Identify continuous improvement opportunities, and implement routines to drive effectiveness and efficiency.

Influence to resolve matters identified in a timely manner, develop sound corrective actions, and strengthen internal controls.

Perform and document work that clearly articulates and supports work performed, and summarize testing results to WFRR and other Key Stakeholders.

Work collaboratively across Corporate Risk, Group Regulatory Relations, and enterprise functions.

Locations: This position may be located in one of the following locations: New York City, NY; Charlotte, NC; or San Francisco, CA.Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

5+ years of management experience
