WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Senior Director of Product Management will be responsible for the core checking and transaction product value proposition, including debit and payment methods. This role will be responsible for driving consumer checking product growth, optimizing economics and overall quality. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop concept solutions that drive profitability, improved product competitiveness, operational simplicity, and tangible business outcomes.
  • Responsible for establishing product strategy, clearly articulating that vision to the organization, and ensuring alignment amongst resources (channel, technology, marketing, sales & service ) to deliver on business goals
  • Identify and define target customer, opportunity set, and competitive landscape (in alignment with broader bank strategy)
  • Responsible for defining product strategic direction, creating a "roadmap" (current state, target state, key activities, capabilities, deliverables, actions etc.)
  • Based on strategy, will identify, prioritize, and drive definition of scope, requirements, and necessary detail supporting the delivery of policy, features and capabilities that grow the business
  • Responsible for aligning product solutions to customers and defined customer segments (existing and prospect)
  • Ensure business partners have a clear understanding of product value (economics) and business objectives
  • Accountable for driving product level economics, NIE and product efficiency as well as integration across the platform
  • Develop merchandising and messaging strategies driving acquisition, customer engagement and product usage
  • Define measures and identify key performance trends in the portfolio
  • Responsible for key vendors, vendor management, SLA's, pricing, and agreements
  • Work closely with vendors to manage performance, SLA's, contract dynamics, and overall relationship
  • Responsible for monthly business performance, assessing trends, opportunities, and developing forward looking outlook (NIE, Revenue, Balances, Customer growth)
  • Work closely with pricing team to position products to meet business goals
  • Responsible for first line risk, compliance, regulatory and legal aspects of deposit product


HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
  • >15 years consumer financial product development and product management
  • Previous experience with human centered design principles & practices as well as practical experience with rapid concept development in an Agile environment
  • Previous experience with debit card management, P&L, performance management
  • Depth of knowledge in consumer behavior, digital trends, including key customer and competitor dynamics
  • Highly innovative with demonstrable success in business development and growth
  • Strategic thought leadership with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Quantitative analytical skills to drive performance measurement & analysis, understand customer behaviors and usage, develop forward looking trends, and assess product level, platform level impact
  • Able to manage internal and external partners, addressing priorities and requirements of various stakeholders
  • An effective communicator, at all levels, and stakeholders
  • Strong partnership focus, effective with indirect leadership of all levels, proven ability to work well with broad array of teams and organizations
  • Proven experience leading diverse teams including remote, able to define a vision, mobilize teams and engender followership, fostering collaboration
