Senior Vice President, Asset ManagementApply now (https://situsamc.avature.net/careers/ApplicationMethods?jobId=13180&eeo=6) < Back to Search Position Overview :This role is responsible for overseeing a team(s) of asset managers focused on the management of a portfolio of highly complex commercial real estate loans. Provide a high level of loan surveillance support to clients by monitoring and reporting on property level cash flows, rent rolls, market conditions and property valuations for a nationwide portfolio of loans across all types of commercial real estate property types, including Construction Loans. Provide support to the Director of Situs Asset Management through the oversight and management of SitusAMC’s debt/equity asset management and surveillance activities achieving departmental goals and objectives.Essential Job Functions :Manage and Supervise
Manages the short-term and long-term plans based on Asset Management goals and objectives.
Oversees a team of asset managers on the operational execution of portfolio risk management for client(s) based on the defined scope of work.
Manages and mentors staff based on the tasks in their respective job descriptions.
Provide leadership through the communication of vision gaining the support of each team
Review all work products providing feedback to the members of the team
Evaluate existing processes and make recommendations for improvements to the Director, Asset Management
Work closely with team leads to effectively manage workload of each team member
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all surveillance assignments
Monitors Portfolio Performance through review of Watch List, delinquency, and maturing loan report.
Manage Investor and Borrower relationships.
Assist in the business development efforts for Situs Asset Management
Conduct surveillance on commercial mortgage backed securities applying a working knowledge of real estate valuation, underwriting and the loan resolution process in order to estimate losses and generate projected bond level cash flows
Re-underwrite and value commercial real estate assets for placement onto warehouse lines determining whether the assets meet the criteria established for placement on the line.
Make recommendations in connection with borrower requested transactions.
Ensure both short-term and long-term goals and objectives are achieved.
Manage upward relationships: Reporting results, securing assistance and discussing major decisions
Manage infrastructure relationships: Team/collaborative approach in accomplishing objectives
Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager
Qualifications/ Requirements :Bachelor’s degree with a preferred field of study; Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Management or combination of education and/or experience.
Minimum seven years’ experience in Real Estate, REO resolutions and workout strategies
Experience in understanding real estate valuation methodology, analyzing income and expense rates and property valuation
Three year’s management experience
Manages and mentor’s employees to insure their success
Assists with managing, growing and identifying talent
Improving relationships with clients at a strategic and tactical level
Continually provide an objective assessment of staff, employee morale, products and services, and the tools used in delivering the services, and make suggestions and recommendations for ways to improve them
Assists in seeking out and developing new business relationships
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of leases, rent rolls and underwriting revenue
Required to identify and understand the client’s scope of work and how SAM can add value to the client’s endeavors
Fully competent in handling all aspects of fieldwork as well as subject property’s competitive position and must be able to provide feedback to clients on findings and conclusions
Understand and handle property level financial information
Complete understanding of discounted cashflow modeling
Full understanding of asset types and leases
Required to have full command over tenant level and borrower level credit overviews
Superior business writing skills
Requires management responsibility for managing and directing junior level staff in meeting project deadlines
Proactive in the community and advance Situs’ name recognition in the industry
Capability for determining accurate job costing and recommending pricing for transactions and completing engagement letters with clients
Works independently on projects and also collaborates as a team player
Other duties as assigned
Special Requirements : The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment
Overnight traveling involving onsite visits with current and potential clients (5%)
