responsibilities:
This position is for a Senior Business Analyst for the Market Risk Team working on applications and enhancements to support limit monitoring and regulatory reporting.
The Analyst will work in a team to meet upcoming business initiatives and migration of the application to a new technology stack. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Gather and document business requirements including understanding any regulatory requirements that the application needs to support
- Manage application tasks and stories in Jira
- Manage and lead scrum ceremonies for the agile teams on the project
- Understand existing platform and address business queries
- Assist and facilitate UAT testing and supporting production go lives of various functionalities
- Manage and add Application documentation
- Assures quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications.
- Key technical resource on team building sophisticated and complex risk applications
Day to Day Operations:
- 50% - Business requirements understanding and documentation, Jira management, Agile team ceremonies
- 25% - Facilitating end users in UAT and production on effectively using the application
- 25% - Assisting agile delivery team in developing, reviewing and validating new functionality and user stories
Top Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis and design
- 3+ years of working in Financial Services / Capital Markets
- 3+ years working on Agile teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of SQL experience
- Exposure to Risk Systems / Limit Management applications strongly preferred
Leads, designs, develops, test and implements applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies. Resolves coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature. Responsible for defining opportunities across IT to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost. Ensures that systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk. Mentors and trains other members of the team. Partners with Management, Dev, QA, production support and platform engineering teams effectively. Focuses on building relevant capabilities in the organization to keep pace with demand and best practices in the industry. Manages vendor/contractor partnerships to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs using Agile development practices. Operates in restricted to niche domains: such as Capital Markets, Quants, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning. Leads implementation of complex projects/initiatives on above domain. Understands and leads the team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and works with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives. Mentors lower level team members. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering experience 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quantitative trading, artificial intelligence, or machine learning Desired Qualifications; Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance An industry-standard technology certification Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building
