In the Senior Accountant role, you will support the company's goals by preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates must be highly skilled at analytics. The Senior Accountant will work within a small team oriented group and must have the desire to solve problems in the best interest of the company. Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
-Assist in preparation for annual audit
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
-Analyze and reconcile product costs set up in SAP-Analyze general plant expenses and initiate ant actions necessary to reduce expenses where feasibleRequirements
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Strong time management skills preferred
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
Great attention to detail
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
General ledger experience
Annual Budget experience highly desired
Journal entries experience
Proficiency in SAP
Proven knowledge of bank reconciliations
Solid understanding of month end closings
Well-founded grasp of budget forecasting
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
