Specialized Recruiting Group has an on-site, direct hire opportunity for a Systems Software Engineer in Charlotte NC.
Systems Software Engineer Performance Objectives:
Responsible expanding our computer vision functionalities through ongoing development and maintenance of the enVision website, hardware/software interfacing development (for industrial cameras, lasers, and other hardware devices), various other development tasks, responding to trouble tickets, and providing product support to company clients
Developing and supporting a complex image application which requires in-depth understanding of computer science fundamentals and expert level coding experience in implementing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex software algorithms for our vision product portfolio.
This position demands exceptional communication skills to support direct and indirect customers and a team of field service technicians with wide variety of embedded devices and networks to interface.
Use abstraction skills to formulate a high-level response resulting from a complex software algorithm
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot image processing applications in C on Linux platform.
Background Profile for a Systems Software Engineer:
Bachelors or master’s degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or Equivalent
Strong working knowledge of a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack
Strong working knowledge of C, including writing code in a clean and proficient manner, and proficiency in reading other developer’s code
Experience with supporting / deploying / troubleshooting vision systems or equivalent complex applications in C using advanced Object-Oriented Programming, (OOPS) concepts and data structures
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting vision Application Program Interfaces, (APIs) and interfaces with database
3-5 years of coding experience with PHP (version 6.x or later) in Linux Environment
3-5 years of coding and debugging experience with MySQL or any other relational database
3-5 years of experience with image processing algorithms-implementation, troubleshooting/debugging
5+ years of software development experience with C preferably backend applications
2+ years of direct experience with supporting enterprise level applications in live production environment
3+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix servers and deploying applications
Advanced degree in computer science /computer engineering or equivalent with flair of embedded camera hardware understanding and ability to learn complex image processing technologies involving various imaging devices.
Desirable Skills
Experience with supporting / deploying / troubleshooting vision systems.
Knowledge of industrial cameras such as Basler and Inex.
Knowledge of Intermodal carrier coding standard ISO 6346 and related standards is highly desirable.
Knowledge of optics (choosing and setting up lights, cameras, lenses, etc.)
Embedded knowledge (board design, circuits, single board computers or microcontrollers, etc.)
Full stack web development knowledge is a plus
Prior Experience of working with Deep learning Libraries, SDKs is highly desirable
