West Side Industries is a small, 8-person precision machining job shop serving aerospace and medical customers, and we are hiring an experienced CNC Machinist. We have been in continuous operation since 1943 and are known for quality, consistency, and craftsmanship. This position involves CNC setup, operation, and programming on modern CNC equipment, producing tight-tolerance, high-precision parts in a clean, well-organized shop. Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and machining centers (Fanuc, Okuma, Yasnac).>> OKUMA Preferred.
Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications.
Perform quality checks and maintain tight tolerances.
Troubleshoot machining processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Requirements
5+ years CNC machining experience (setup and operation).
Willing to train the right person
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and aerospace alloys preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training/certification a plus).
Team player with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
