Job Description

All-Star Sales Representative Wanted! Must speak Spanish fluently!

This position is only for all-star sales people who can both sell legal services and cultivate new relationships to generate new leads.

If you are not an All-Star; if you cannot discuss big price points and complex problems with maturity and sensitivity; and if you don't have the stomach to do some prospecting and follow-up with prospects, please do not continue.

If you are the "high pressure" sales type who thinks that sales is a macho game, please do not continue.

We believe sales is a service we do for our prospects to help educate them and to help them think through their options and make courageous and sometimes scary decisions about their future. We really believe that even if we decide not to accept an engagement from a prospect, that every prospective new client should leave our office better in some way than when they came. If you come from the school of thought that sales is all about what you can "get" from a prospect or what you can "talk them into," please go far, far away and do not apply.

We believe in consultative selling where we help our prospective new clients make sense of their situation, weigh their options and make important and often painful decisions We are into using the sale as the beginning of a long-term relationship with our prospective new clients. If you are interested in a career (we really think of it as more of a "calling") that offers income opportunities, competitive benefits, loads of training and professional development to stay sharp, total transparency (another way of saying there's nowhere to "hide") and fuel for your soul because we're really and truly helping people, then please complete the following application and short written interview. We do this to ensure that you can read, write, and think critically.

The process of interviewing you and on boarding you onto our team will literally cost thousands of dollars in time that could otherwise have been invested into growing the firm or working with more capable candidates. Plus, if you are the sort of All-Star we are looking for then we know you have too much self-respect to waste your own time with a firm that doesn't take this process as seriously as these steps should demonstrate to you that we do.

If you do not wish to complete the written interview, please do not apply. We are looking for individuals with fire and ambition, not excuse-making "clock-watchers" who will hide under their desk waiting to be told what to do all day long.

TO APPLY, RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL WITH THE ANSWERS TO THE WRITTEN INTERVIEW BELOW.

WRITTEN INTERVIEW

Instructions: You may take as much or as little time as you like to complete this written interview. You may organize your answers in any way that makes the most sense to you. When you are finished with the written interview, please apply with your answers.

For purposes of the questions below please visit our website to familiarize yourself with the range of services we offer and demonstrate to us by your answers that you have enough imagination and real-world experience to show empathy to our prospective new clients. You have permission to use some "artistic license" in your answers, especially if you are going to be making reference to tools or resources you would ask us to provide if you were to be hired for this position.

QUESTION 1:

Please describe the type of person who would probably be an ideal client for this firm.

QUESTION 2:

Please describe the type of person who would probably NOT be an ideal client for this firm.

QUESTION 3:

Understanding that you are not applying for the position of an intake person or an appointment scheduler, but also understanding that the way the intake person or scheduler handles the prospective new client has a big impact on your ability to do your job, please tell us:

a.)Three things you want the intake person/scheduler to find out about the prospect and share with you ahead-of-time, to set you up for success.

b.)Three things you want the intake person/scheduler to get across to the prospect about you and/or the firm to set you up for success.

c.)Three "red flags" you want the intake person/scheduler to be on the lookout for that should stop them from scheduling them for an appointment with you.

QUESTION 4:

What do you imagine are the five most common objections our prospective new clients give us for not making a decision to engage our firm's services even after it has become painfully obvious that without our help their situation is likely to deteriorate?

QUESTION 5:

For each objection you listed above, please provide a response or otherwise tell us how you would handle the prospective client's concerns?

QUESTION 6:

How many times do you think is reasonable to follow up with a prospective new client who comes into the office with a problem and leaves the office with the same problem and they say they "want to think about it" instead of engaging our firm to help them get started on a solution right away? Why?

QUESTION 7:

You suck.

Your law firm looks like it sucks.

You're stupid to think your law firm doesn't suck and you suck because you're suggesting I should trust your law firm to help me because obviously, your law firm sucks.

Please respond.

QUESTION 8:

It's Monday morning. Everyone on the team is out of the office on vacation for the day except for you. What does your day look like?

QUESTION 9:

Susy from the question above has left you a voicemail that says she has almost made a decision and would love to talk with you.Her only availability for the next 2 weeks is Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. How do you proceed?

QUESTION 10:

Why do you suppose we're asking all of these questions?

OPTIONAL BONUS QUESTION:
