To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience with seven years in the aviation industry in an Aftermarket or Customer Service technical position. In this role you will function as the primary Aftermarket Technical contact for worldwide users by providing technical support to airlines, operators, repair facilities, as well as the Repair Station on the full range of hydraulic pumps, motors, actuators, power packs, power transfer units, and solenoid sequence valves used on commercial and military aviation platforms.Customer Service Engineer Job Duties: Must be able to represent the organization as the primary technical contact on Aftermarket projects including presentations, briefings, and technical meetings for OEM and airline customers, as well as, company management and includes providing after-hours technical support via AOG (airplane on the ground) line. Function as the liaison between the end users and Part 21 by managing and coordinating all activities required to support and resolve Aftermarket technical issues. Must be able to design, develop, and share best practices to improve reliability of products and enhance profitability of the company. Monitor customer operations and analyze field data in order to assess product performance, component reliability, customer satisfaction, and proactively address issues before they affect customer relations, this includes maintenance of reliability spreadsheets and reporting of data to OEM and airline customers and establish and maintain searchable data base to track customer requests for assistance. Assist in the development and review of technical documents such as CMMs, Service Letters, Repair Procedures, etc as well as development of tooling and function as primary focal point for distribution of technical publications, including determination if request is from an airline or third party maintenance organization. Develop and present technical training programs and materials for airline customers consistent with ATA 104. Training will include flight operations, maintenance, and repair and overhaul of components, and duties including coordinating customer arrangements to attend this training and will also assist R&O Manager and Chief Inspector with Repair Station training as well as regulatory issues and provide technical solutions to a wide variety of complex problems using innovative and practical approaches that are consistent with company business objectives.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering; or equivalent experience with seven years in the aviation industry in an Aftermarket or Customer Service technical position. Must have extensive knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, actuators, power packs, power transfer units, and solenoid sequence valves used on commercial and military aviation platforms with knowledge and understanding of aircraft hydraulic and electrical systems, along with strong troubleshooting skills. Professionalism in dealing with adverse or difficult situations with extensive customer service and support experience and ability to address wide spectrum of technical issues with strong problem solving skills. Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean techniques to improve processes with good working knowledge of applicable FARs including Part 21, Part 121, and 145 and must have a strong understanding of technical and business objectives and ability to establish work priorities accordingly.
