DesignerJob Number: 296036Category: AerospaceDescription: A Designer job in Clemmons, North Carolina is currently available through Belcan. To be considered for this role you will have an Associate or Bachelor Degree in a Technical field (additional experience in lieu of education may be considered) and at least five years’ experience in a design environment with experience in CAD software package and in manufacturing practices. In this role you will work with Project Engineers to conceive and create components and assemblies which meet both the engineer’s design intent and the customer specification to support development of civil/military aerospace hydraulic systems and components in preparation for production.Designer Job Duties: Employ Geometric, Dimensions & Tolerances (Per ASME Y14.5) to detailed models/drawings, while developing conceptual designs based on manufacture-ability and customer requirements. Works with Project Engineers to ensure designs will perform required function, within the required envelope and at a competitive weight and cost, to resolve drawing/document issues. Creates CAD models representing complex components and assemblies, ensures that drawings and CAD models conform to Configuration Control standards and GD&T requirements. Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements, contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook and other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor Degree in a Technical field (additional experience in lieu of education may be considered) and at least five years’ experience in a design environment with experience in CAD software package and in manufacturing practices. Experience in parametric modeling and generating 2-D drawings in CAD Systems; Pro-E CAD experience and direct design experience with hydro-mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components preferred. Ability to apply GD&T Principals per ASME Y14.5. Experience in Product Life Management (PLM) Systems, direct knowledge in SmarTeam preferred.
