The Corporate Communications Media Specialist will support the internal and external communications, brand building and awareness objectives of Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. Developing and implementing an integrated communications plan across PR/media relations and translating our corporate goals into communications initiatives will be at the heart of this role. This person will have the opportunity to work with PR/marketing agencies, the Executive team (writing content and managing speaking engagements) and collaborate with professionals across the organization (marketing and other areas) to develop integrated messaging strategies that support the PESO model.

Key opportunities to make an impact in the organization include:

• Unifying internal communications
• Creation of a news bureau initiative for the organization (media pitch database, rapid response program, press tour, etc.)
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to support strategy development for new CSR initiative
• Support global branding initiatives across regions
• Support development and implementation of Executive Thought Leadership program and training of spokespersons
• Developing opportunities to engage with superfan customers as advocates for the brand

Areas of Expertise & Special Skills:

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience or equivalent combination in global marketing communication roles in a B2B company
• A natural leader, motivator, and overall team player
• A proven track record in creating content marketing GTM strategies and leading PR efforts.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of PR/marketing tools Cision, BusinessWire, Bambu, or other employee advocacy tools, Asana and other.

Experience with team Ownership of:

• Themes, Messaging & Copywriting
• Press & Influencer Relations
• Thought Leadership

Responsibilities:

• Working with team to execute on Branding, Content, PR. Overall collaboration with team to implement PESO model across campaigns to support overall brand messaging (i.e., new announcements, conferences, etc.). Execute corporate communications based on Toshiba & Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions Brand awareness needs, portfolio & partner needs. Internal Communications: All Hands / Monthly Marketing Meeting & Newsletter.
• Daily ownership and execution of press / media / influencer relationship. Directly manage our day-to-day public relations efforts, including media pitch development, research of key media contacts, research thought leadership opportunities and develop supportive content (i.e., bios, thought leader pitches for speaking events, etc.).
• Planning incl. corporate communications calendar. Own and maintain annual corporate communications / content calendar.
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of implemented communication strategies.
• Overall team budget and forecasting responsibilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
