RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer. This role can sit in Boston, MA; Merrimack, MA; Raleigh, NC; or Jersey City, NJ.
Job Description:
Our international client is developing a full-service enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading and servicing digital assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. As a Principal Software Engineer, you play a meaningful role in developing services for the Client Engineering team. You'll get the opportunity to have a direct impact on technology strategy, develop your skills, collaborate across teams and continue to learn in a lively, collaborative, iterative, and rapidly changing environment. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for developing our authentication and authorization services. You will work closely with our Enterprise Security team and platform architects to craft secure, scalable, resilient cloud-based services. As a senior technical member of your team, you will guide junior engineers and help develop their technical skills.
Responsibilities:
The Client Engineering team is responsible for the development of backend services to manage client onboarding, account information, entitlements, and authorization services
Understand requirements, write implantation stories in Jira and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
Produce scalable, resilient, cloud-based system designs aligned with our long-term strategy
Collaborate with the enterprise cybersecurity team in analysis, integration and support of their technology solutions with applications
Produce high-quality code, with high test coverage, following company processes, standards, and methodologies
Leads and chips in to engineering practices such as code and design reviews and the definition of source control strategy, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipeline
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required
8+ years of experience preferred
A solid foundation in software engineering
Strong background in Java with experience implementing end-to-end solutions
Proven work experience as a security software engineer
Detailed knowledge of techniques, standards, state of the art capabilities in Identity and Access Management systems and controls for authorization and authentication
Hands on experience and knowledge of OWASP Secure Coding Practices
An understanding of microservice architecture and twelve factor app patterns
Experienced with core Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot
Proficient in SQL with a proven understanding of database technologies
Ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environments
Unit and integration test automation
Proven prior experience with AWS services and containerization is a plus
Hardworking and committed to learning new tools and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks
Ability to work in a small agile team having a strong focus on user requirements
Solid analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at a given time
