This is a contingent position forecasted for 12 months. Within this role, you will:Read warranty reports and summarize failures mode(s)Theorize possible root causes and support with warranty information and engineering knowledgeDevelop engineering solutions which may include design changes, manufacturing support, field supportDevelop designs to meet customer requirements during new product developmentPlan and support the execution of validation of designs both in controlled settings and possibly with actual customer applicationsCollaborate with supply chain, engineering and manufacturing to bring solutions to market in a timely and cost-efficient fashionSupport the resolution of critical customer issues and new designs as part of new product development involving the engine installation on small construction equipmentRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering5-7 years of progressive engineering experienceProficiency in Creo/Pro-EGeneral understanding of machinery and construction equipmentGeneral understanding of engines and engine installation, and validation and instrumented testing methodsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team/collaborative environmentStrong planning and organizing skills necessary to deliver projects on time This position is located in Clayton, NC.
