This is a contingent position forecasted for 1 year. Within this role, you will:Design light fabrications, stampings, plastic parts, hose routings and other components as needed to support the products produced in SanfordWork with structural analysts, test engineers, manufacturing engineers, purchasing, and other design engineers to design cost effective solutions to product problemsDesign machine enhancements to meet customer requirements outlined by marketing and product supportDesign sheet metal components (grills, doors, brackets, enclosures, frames, etc.) and hydraulic lines routingsCoordinate the build of prototype machines to test concept designsWork with suppliers to optimize designs to the manufacturing processWork with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for the machine assembly processTroubleshoot problems on the production lineRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)Five to seven years of engineering experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilityAbility to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reportsExperience with computer applications and software related to engineering fieldThree or more years of Pro-E or Creo experience desired, but can accept candidates with other CAD software experience*** This position is located in Sanford, NC.
