We are looking for a contract laborer. The job consists of assisting me in a wood shop where we manufacture beekeeping supplies. The job will entail some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. The job depending on business could be from a 2 day to a 6 day work week. This can fluctuate from week to week and fluctuates throughout the year, with spring and summer being the busy season. I will be able to let you know I need you for work at least 48 hours in advance, and typically can tell you how many days in the next week I will need you.
You must be:
Available Sunday-Friday from 10 AM to 6:30 PM as needed.
Have a valid drivers license.
knowledgeable with hand tools.
Know how to read a tape measure and a ruler.
Be detail oriented and efficient in your manner, we pride quality over quantity!
Comfortable and SAFE around power tools.
A general guideline for your duties:
1. Assembly of precut wood components using glue, nail guns, pneumatic staplers.
2. Use of hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
3. Cleanup of the shop at the end of each day, including moving machinery to clean under them, as well as sweeping and collecting wood chips and dust for removal.
4. Assisting in the collection of supplies from my vendors including raw materials such as lumber.
If you are not afraid of honey bees, the job could also advance into you assisting in a working bee yard. Harvesting honey, and learning a trade such as beekeeping.
