Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Seeking experienced shipping manager to oversee shipping operations including packing items for shipment, verifying the contents and status of received packages, monitoring subordinate employees, determining staffing requirements for busy seasons, comparing shipment contents with manifests, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
Inspect physical condition of the warehouse, dock, vehicles, and equipment and initiate appropriate actions to remedy unsatisfactory findings.
Communicate with clients and freight carriers, answer questions about shipments, relay shipping updates.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should meet the following general qualifications: High school diploma or GED Minimum of five years experience in related field Exceptional organizational skills Detail-oriented, reliable and tidy A mechanical background Ability to operate a forklift.
Work Schedule: 8 am - 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch)
