Help Wanted
Smart Solutions of New Bern, an upstart IT service company local to Craven County, is in search of technical help for a part time position, which will hopefully become full time in your near future.
We have a focus on both commercial and residential computer service needs, including PC repair, network installation and maintenance, as well as printer servicing.
Requirements for the position begin with having, at the minimum, an associate's degree in IT solutions, or be very well on the way to earning one. (We'll check with your educators for proof.) You must have a complete knowledge of all Microsoft Windows software, including Server systems, proficiency in network software and hardware maintenance, and at least a familiarity in macOS and iOS.
You need to be capable in basic PC hardware infrastructure, with the ability to quickly identify why components do not work, and how to replace them. Knowledge of laser printer hardware will be helpful to you as well.
While not required for hiring, knowledge in screen repair for phones and tablets will get you moved towards the front of the line.
Above all else, the ability to think on your feet is the asset that we are looking for the most.
It is a lot to ask for a part time job, but there is literally only one slot open. Prove that you deserve that it should be yours, and hopefully it will become the job of your future.
