J & L Fabrics, Inc. located in Wilson, NC is a family-owned business that has been supplying the upholstery supply needs since 1977. Currently, we are searching for the best candidate to fill the position of route sales person.
This position is perfect for someone who has recently retired and would like to get out-and-about during the week. Already working a part time job or on weekends? Join us on Wednesday and Thursday to supplement your finances while traveling and meeting current and potential customers.
Base hourly salary plus commission (potential $250-$300 or more per 2.5 day week), limited food allowance and limited motel expense while driving a company vehicle (Full Size Van). We are in need of a dependable and motivated individual to travel 2 days per week (plus 1/2 day making sales call from home) on routes that will cover NC, SC and VA to maintain contact with established customers and to establish contact with potential new customers. Overnight stay is required.
You are the face of the company; therefore, it is important to observe company policy which prohibits beards, goatees, and unkempt facial hair other than a simple, well-maintained mustache. Visible tattoos and piercings are prohibited as well. Clothing will be business casual (e.g. khakis, polo style shirt). Blue-jeans and tee-shirt outer wear are strictly prohibited.
