Job Description
Installing, repairing and maintaining automatic pedestrian & manual doors for: East Carolina Door Controls, Inc., an established 20+ year old company servicing Commercial & Major National Accounts in Eastern North Carolina throughout I-95 corridor to all coastal areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Repair automatic & manual doors at the customer’s facilities. Other duties as may be required.
Good people, planning & communication skills; ability to work independently required.
Become AAADM certified (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers).
Maintain company provided service vehicle & tools in good operating condition.
Electromechanical & Electrical Repair Skills essential.
Maintain accurate field work order records and parts used at each job.
Dependable – good driver, valid driver license.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education: HS diploma or equivalent, Electrical & Mechanical background. Manual door & hardware repair / installation including access control experience also helpful.
Prior Construction field service helpful; also experience in the glass, glazing and automatic door industries a plus, specifically with service and installation of one or more of the following (but not limited to) brands: Stanley Access Technologies, Besam, Horton, Dorma, Nabco / Gyrotech, Record USA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours but not limited to.
Lifting and or carrying weights from 30 -100 lbs Work on a ladder with hands overhead.
Occasionally works on knees Works on hard surfaces Repetitive hand motions.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Independent travel each day throughout the territory by service van.
Occasional office environment Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Work outside in various climate conditions Ability to work overtime as needed.
