A successful candidate should be able to work in a crew environment and have some general knowledge of asphalt. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist paving crew with various duties such as; shoveling and raking, safely backing/dumping trucks into paver, etc.
Follow direction of Supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
Digs, spreads, and levels asphalt.
Lifts, carries and holds material, tools and supplies.
Assists in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
Take and understand instructions from crew leaders
Demonstrate working knowledge of paving
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in a crew-based environment
Punctuality and dependability is required
Previous asphalt paving experience is preferred
