JOB SUMMARY:

Operates heavy equipment to support project specific operations. Although this position will be reporting to a field supervisor, this individual may be required to work autonomously at times. Operation will include but is not limited to excavator, bulldozer, and skid steer. While primarily focused on demolition activities, some areas of work may include some excavation and minor site work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Display ability and knowledge necessary to safely operate required heavy equipment.

- Perform daily "operator's maintenance" on heavy equipment to ensure proper working order of said heavy equipment.

- Maintain a good working attitude and commitment to safety.

- Willingness to travel as necessary to support the project. (Out of town accommodations and per diem will be provided by Jones and Smith Contractors, LLC)

- Any other duties assigned

PREFERRED QAULIFICATIONS:

- Ability to shoot and read grade with a transit level/laser.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: HS Degree/ GED Preferred but not required.

Licensing/Certification: Must maintain a valid driver license and good driving record. OSHA Training courses as required by the company safety procedures.
