POSITION: Assistant Service Manager
Assist the service manager in striving to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested while insuring a consistently high level of employee productivity. Accomplish these objectives through the use of proper staff utilization, pricing, IBS system function/reporting, advertising and adherence to facility safety practices.
Job Description:
The Assistant Service Manager will oversee the daily activities and the employees of the service department and also be responsible for:
- Enforcing with the help of the service manager all company policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Assisting service manager in maintaining focus on service department budget goals and other objectives for the department
- Help service manager in controlling operating expenses
- Direct the day to day activities of the service department employees
- Assisting the service manager in training and evaluating service department employees
- Helps ensure that a high quality level of service is provided to our entire customer base.
- Provides technical assistance to service department employees
- Enforces safety requirements, including but not limited to forklift training and operation and use of personal protective equipment
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations that may affect our procedures in the service department.
- Maintains professional appearance and ensures that the service department employees present a professional appearance to the public.
- Carries out disciplinary actions as needed to service department employees.
- Reviews monthly productivity results individually with service department employees
- Conducts department safety inspection on a monthly basis.
- Conducts department meeting with all service department employees monthly
- Assist in hiring of new personnel as needed
