This position reports directly to the National Warehouse Manager.

Essential Requirements

MANAGEMENT:

Report to the Production Manager and supervise Warehouse Assistants while overseeing warehouse operations.

Work closely with other Warehouse Managers with regards to the coordination of warehouse inventory and may be asked to hybrid crews and members from time to time.

Possess excellent communication, management, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Utilize a contagious positive attitude to influence and motivate direct reports while maintaining a high-energy team. Ensure other management members are kept informed of potential issues and/or barriers.

Have in-depth knowledge of company policies and communicate those effectively. Ensure direct reports are adhering to those policies. Keep members of management informed of personnel issues.

Complete performance reviews for the team annually and keeps employees informed on their performance. Communicated closely with Human Resources if disciplinary action is warranted. Understand the value and importance of documenting sensitive discussions.

Keep key personnel updated on issues, achievements, and other reporting factors.

Complete time card records in a timely manner and conducts audits to ensure employees are not taking advantage of overtime and/or are accurately reporting their hours.

Maintain/Manage/Coordinate all project plans/items and adheres to all deadlines.

Develop and implement process and/or operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Ensures productivity meets or exceeds service and quality standards.

Communicate with crews to ensure efficient delivery of products.

COMPLIANCE TRAINING & SAFETY:

Manage the on-the-job training of employees, conducts safety training when necessary. Ensure equipment is safe and in compliance with OSHA standards.

Possess a thorough understanding of company safety policies, leads by example.

Responsible for department KPIs. Frequently monitor progress and report on trends, achievements and seek to resolve barriers to success.

Inspect condition of tools and equipment reports potential issues.

WAREHOUSE:

Control and manage inventory.

Perform general maintenance of machinery and tools used in the warehouse.

Vehicles – respect company property, treat as his/her own. Hold in high regard the property of PHS. Ensure his/her direct reports fully understand this expectation as well.

May be asked to routinely audit vehicle requirements; licenses, registration, tags, etc. Work closely with Compliance & Training Manager, and Office Administrator in this arena.

Responsible for the 6S system (Sorts; Sets in Order; Shines; Standardizes; Sustains; Safe) of organizing the warehouse so work can be performed efficiently, effectively, and safely. Focus on putting everything where it belongs and keep the workplace clean, making it easier for employees to do their jobs without wasting time or risking injury. Take pride in the warehouse's cleanliness.

Maintain warehouse inventory to ensure crews and staff have equipment as needed.

May be asked to purchase special, non-inventory items. Ensure timely ordering of these items.

Assist in training new staff to be successful and help them understand daily expectations, tasks, and goals.

May be asked to create and complete inventory reports.

Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years related warehouse experience.

At least 5 years supervisory experience preferred

Require excellent communication and organization skills

Strong knowledge of personal computer usage with skills in MSOffice

Experience with Forklift, order selector, pallet jack preferred

Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to operate motorized vehicles.

Must successfully pass drug and criminal background check.

ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a warehouse environment with a business casual dress code. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to safely lift supplies up to 50 pounds unassisted.
