The benefits package includes university contributions to health, dental, life and disability insurance, tuition waivers for employees and their families, 12 official holidays, immediate leave accrual, and a choice of retirement programs with university contributions ranging from 5 to 10% of employee salary.About the College/DepartmentOur mission at the Office of Study Abroad is to facilitate opportunities for our students to gain new knowledge, personal growth and a global perspective through study, research or practical experience outside of the United States and contribute to the campus wide effort to prepare our students to live and succeed in a global society.The Office of Study Abroad:-Works with faculty and academic units to develop and maintain high quality, credit-bearing education abroad programs;-Assists students with step-by-step preparations ranging from program selection to funding options through pre-departure activities and returning back to campus;-Assists students in financing overseas study through scholarships and financial aid;-Manages the University’s agreements with international partner institutions and provides academic services to international students supported through exchange agreements; and-Serves as a resource for the University, students, parents, alumni and partner institutions on study abroad programs, international political and social conditions, health and safety factors, and emergency management.Department Home Page https://studyabroad.uark.edu/index.phpJob Type StaffSummary of Job DutiesThe Senior Study Abroad Coordinator will be primarily responsible for advising students and managing faculty-led study abroad programs for Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences students, promoting study abroad across campus, and maintaining efficient use of Terra Dotta Software as the super-user and functional lead. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Managing approximately 10-14 faculty-led programs annually; advising prospective Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences study abroad students and their families about program opportunities, application procedures, scholarships and financial aid, obtaining academic approval, etc.; leading pre-departure orientation sessions for UA faculty-led programs in conjunction with the faculty leader; managing the office’s digital presence through social media, website and blogging platforms; managing and maintaining Terra Dotta Software as principal super-user and functional lead (including outgoing applications, program proposals, scholarships, international travel registration, incident reporting, and agreements program types); supporting and measuring diversity and inclusion efforts for historically underrepresented study abroad students populations, including defining key metrics for success in conjunction with the director; representing the Office of Study Abroad for campus recruitment fairs for prospective students and summer orientation programs for incoming students.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university

At least two years of administration experience in higher education

International travel experience
