Dental practice is seeking for an experience, hard working, detail oriented Dental Assistant. An ideal candidate exhibits exceptional teamwork skills, professionalism, and the ability to work well in fast paced environment. Must be self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking, have excellent communication skills with parents and children, and possess excellent patient care.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years dental experience and all dental assistant certifications, (X-ray, coronal polishing, and First Aid / CPR certifications).
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Assisting dentist during all dental procedures (4 handed dentistry)
- Coronal Polishing
- Instrument prep and sterilization
- Digital x-ray exposure
- Maintaining equipment and sterilization
- Applying pit and fissure sealants
- Placing matrix band in preperation of restorative material
- Taking impressions and pouring models
- Medical history and treatment plan review
- Charting Clinical findings
- Knowledge of dental material
- Making patients feel comfortable and at ease during appointments
- Case presentation and Computer Skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge with Dentrix and Dexis
- Helping with front desk duties as necessary
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a PLUS!
