Automotive Center Manager

The Center Manager is responsible in maximizing sales and profitability through operational excellence, high quality service delivery, sound personnel management practices, and total customer satisfaction. The Center Manager promotes the growth of existing and new business through an unwavering approach to integrity on behalf of all of our team members. He/She sets the bar for service levels in terms of accurate analyses and estimates, prompt delivery of those services, and disciplined follow-up in support of total customer care and satisfaction. The Center Manager 'owns' facility operations in terms of sales, employee schedule, customer retention, cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and most importantly, safety. The Center Manager is accountable to the owner, and to all team members to deliver strong and consistent leadership in order to meet the targeted objectives that it takes to successfully run this business.

The ideal Center Manager candidate has a coursework / tech school certification (or equivalent practical experience); 5 years automotive repair business experience, an entrepreneurial demeanor, strong supervisory / management skills, diagnostic and repair experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

• Manage the center from the front service counter to the flow of work in and out of the service

area at all times

• Manage a team of employees with the help of a assistant manager, service writer the team also consists of a mix of master technicians, automotive technicians, and entry level technicians

• Greet Customers with a sincerely helpful attitude

• Carefully listen to the customer¡¦s requirement(s) and promptly arrange for vehicle service or

repair action

• Monitor service/repair action and inform customer of progress

• Perform customer follow up courtesy call to ensure delivery met expectations

• Internally promote current sales

• Train, and motivate our team members

• Maintain an exceptionally clean and well‐organized facility

• Follow and promote company policy/procedures

• Achieve targeted profitable revenues through sales and service

• Practice loss control through continuous spot checks of inventory, cash drawer checks,

monitoring of employees

• Ensure environmental compliance

• Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and operated in accordance with safety

Regulations.

• Oversee inventory control

• Create accurate and reliable estimates for customers

Automotive Store Manager Requirements:

• Coursework/Tech School certification (or equivalent practical experience)

• High School Diploma or GED

• Affinity for automotive vehicle maintenance

• 3+ years' experience in an automotive repair environment/business

• Exceptional listener and communicator (written and verbal)

• Affinity for automotive vehicle maintenance

• Sales Experience

• Exceptional work ethic

• Strong computer and Internet skills

• Point‐of‐sale and electronic media skills
