Experienced Maintenance Technician-Heavy Mobile Construction Equipment (Sanford, NC)

Qualified candidate is an individual that, with minimal assistance, can diagnose, disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, and test the repair of heavy, mobile construction equipment to determine that no other issues exist. Candidate requires some supervision to ensure an efficient and safe repair, will clean equipment, parts, tools, and shop as well as performing additional duties as required. Candidate also needs their own mechanic's hand tools. Experience in heavy, mobile construction equipment maintenance a MUST.

Participate in the daily hazard briefing sharing pertinent information
Complete time sheet with pertinent info from the day's activity

Ensure work area is safe of any hazard to you or your team members
Inspect and inventory parts and supplies upon delivery. Report any deficiencies to the Parts Manager and Service Manager immediately
Inspect equipment and hand tools; have deficient items repaired/replaced
Ensure all rigging for lifting is within capacity
Blocking is to be stable and solid
Take all necessary actions to repair the root cause of the failure
Keep equipment, trucks and trailers clean, neat, and orderly
Maintenance Technician (has experience with limited training/retraining needed) for Heavy Mobile Equipment such as Excavator, Dozer, etc.

Willingness to work hours as required
Must be familiar with parts and components of complex machinery and engines
Need to be familiar with electronics, be able to read manuals, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and perform repairs
Ability to look at mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, identify problems and offer possible solutions
Operate and inspect machines in order to diagnose defects
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs
Assemble, disassemble, clean, examine parts for damage or wear, adjust, calibrate, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance on equipment
Preferred Education/Training/Certification:
Hazmat / EPA
OSHA/Hazard Awareness
Technical Training
Forklift Certification
AC Certification
Class B CDL
First Aid/CPR
Required: Must have your own set of tools and be willing to obtain a CDL with endorsements (if you don't already have a CDL) and 5 years of maintenance experience working on construction heavy equipment
