Job Description

Plant Technician work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing, for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products.

Technicians do various types of work, including running high-speed converting and packing equipment, controlling the process from a computer terminal, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations and confront business-related problems.

Other responsibilities include creating operating standards, enabling the proper validation of equipment specifications, creating training materials, etc. Technicians are assigned to different departments such as operations, quality, safety/environmental, utilities, logistics, etc. Each department builds the capability in their technicians to accomplish the business needs and travel may be required to enable such plans.

Job Requirements

-Use basic hand and power tools

-Lift up to 50 pounds floor to chest level

-Climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms

-Twist, turn and bend; and stand and walk on concrete floors for an extended period of time.

-Display skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment maintaining accurate records and data

-Strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and knowledge of computers.

-Technicians will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection, wherever these things are required.

-Ability to work a rotational shift schedule

Qualifications

All applicants must:

-Be 18 years of age or older;

-Have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education;

-Be willing to work rotating shifts once the site is in normal production (2-3-2 rotating)

-Past Machine operator experience (prior P&G experience is highly preferred)
