ResponsibilitiesThe Service Specialist facilitates the guest experience while managing expectations, service needs, and production timing. Responsible for answering technical questions and presenting additional recommendations to the guest with the help of technology assets, and key measures that ensure guest satisfaction throughout all touchpoints in the service department.

Essential Responsibilities

Treats all guests in an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful manner

Defuses and mediates unsatisfied guests to ensure retention

Excels at following the prescribed procedures for service guest greeting, write-up, rapport building, active delivery and CSI

Motivates, trains, and develops Guest Service Representatives

Participates fully in Asbury and manufacturer-sponsored training programs, including classroom and online, for product knowledge and guest communication

Follows direction by leadership concerning vehicle recalls, updates, and bulletins. Acts in accordance with the instructions for the well-being and satisfaction of the guests

Actively promotes effective working relationships with associates and departments in the dealership

Reports to leadership any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its guests or employees

Maintains CSI and online reputation above Asbury Standards

Exceeds Asbury Xtime standards (inspection rate, quote utilization, closing ratios)

Complies with all federal, state and local law, and company policy, regarding safeguarding all guest, company and manufacturer information, as well as guest vehicles and property

Readily participates in department meetings, offering suggestions for organization and department success

High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree in Auto Technology a PLUS

Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred

Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age

Must have a valid driver's license

Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
