Industrial Mechanic (Pipefitter/Plumber)
This position will primarily perform plumbing and pipefitting maintenance activities to an industrial customer(s). This includes operation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment associated with industrial utility fluid systems (chill water systems, steam and condensate systems, water and sewer, systems, and Compressed Air systems). This position will also perform other mechanical repair, maintenance, or construction activities as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience (2 yrs) with both plumbing and pipefitting activities in an industrial or institutional environment.
2. Experience (2yrs) with replacing/rebuilding pumps and valves.
3. Experience (2yrs) with replacing/repairing small sections of industrial piping.
4. Experience (2yrs) with repairing/replacing pipe insulation
5. Proficient in soldering copper pipe
6. Proficient in fitting/threading steel pipe
7. Good communication skills
8. Customer service oriented
9. Able to work independently or on a team
Preferences
1. Welding experience is a plus
2. Prior supervisory experience as lead man, foremen, etc. is a plus.
