Looking for employment during the week? We need an immediate hire for weekdays to cover our swimming beach and assist our members with checking out kayaks.
Must be available weekdays Beach Hours 9-7pm
Camp Lake James is seeking experienced outdoor enthusiasts for a private recreational facility located 45-minutes from Asheville, NC. This lakefront facility sits on a beautiful 25 acres and has a clubhouse/social hall, multiple pools, lakeside bar, hiking trails, rental cabins, tennis courts, amphitheater, docks, boats, private beach, and a year-round food and beverage service. The Camp offers year-round recreational and social activities and programs to property owners and their guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote and generate enthusiasm for the club’s social and recreational activities/programs
Assist the Activities Director with planning, directing, and coordinating activities/programs
Ensure that overall daily operations of our private recreational facility are met or exceeded
Facilitate the usage of the Camp’s private beach and boats
Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests
Other duties may include: general office duties, assisting with the cabin rental program, assisting with the food and beverage service in the Canteen and Waterfront Patio Bar
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with children, adults, & small groups
General knowledge of outdoor recreation and wildlife
COMPENSATION:
$10-$13/hour (or Based on Experience)
PREFERRED APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor as required, including, but not limited to, prolonged standing, walking, running, hiking, swimming, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 40 pounds
Must be 16 years or older
Must pass pre-employment screenings
