This is a 2nd shift position. Must be willing to work on 1st shift during "training" period. 2nd shift hours 3:00 pm - 1:00 am Monday - Thursday, Friday hours will be determined by production requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Spray surface of machines or parts, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint and enamel
Check to make sure machine is cleaned correctly when it leaves prep (before entering paint booth)
Knowledge of spray equipment (mixing systems, pump, booths, ovens, and spray guns)
Knowledge of spraying polyurethane paint
Apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be painted/coated
Set up booth with machine or parts
Prepares equipment (pours coating liquid into spray container and connects spray gun to air hose)
Regulates with and pressure of spray
Clean spraying equipment/brushes with solvent
Learns background knowledge of rebuilding equipment from diagrams
Sprays lube or adds lube onto products after they are tested
Must be able to troubleshoot spray equipment and machinery as needed
Must be able to operate forklift and heavy equipment
High School diploma or GED
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands:
Employee is regularly required to stand
Employee is frequently required to walk, use hands, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Employee is occasionally required to climb or balance
Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
