Network Technical Consultant Engineer - SD-WAN

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Technical Consultant Engineer with SW-WAN experience to work remotely in support of our enterprise networking and cloud solutions client based in Raleigh, NC.

In this role, the Network Technical Consultant Engineer will be part of our client's Technical Services team of technical authorities whose #1 focus is to help customers deploy and operate their networks effectively while delivering the best possible customer experience. Our success is validated through excellent financial results, increasing customer satisfaction metrics, industry recognition, and employee satisfaction scores. The Network Technical Consultant Engineer will be part of the SD-WAN technology team consists of the industry's brightest minds, developing and deploying today's most advanced Internet technologies. They will gain insight on the detailed functionality of company products and partners with all distributed elements of the service chain.

Provide 2nd/3rd level technical support for SD-WAN technologies to customers, partners, account teams, and other Technical Assistance Center engineers
Apply your analytical skills and technical knowledge to take on product and network problems of moderate to high complexity
Provide technology/product training and intellectual property material as required
Act as focal point for large account network problem resolution
Effectively utilize moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems
Handle a wide variety of technical support problems-from simple application or network configuration fixes to extremely complex troubleshooting and problem resolution
Utilize moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems
Submit complete and correct defect reports with collaboration and supervision
Work with minimal supervision and exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/EE/CompE preferred) equivalent to match 5+ years of experience
Active CCNP (equivalent or higher) Enterprise Certification desired; CCIE would be a plus (not necessary)
Cloud certification (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) is a big plus
5+ years of Customer Support experience
Enterprise and Service Provider (SP) customer support experience
Experience deploying and solving PnP (plug and play), or similar NMS (Network Management System) software solutions
Collaborative mindset and being able to present solutions and take technical decisions partnering with different stakeholders - Sales, BU, Customer, etc.
Contributes towards product improvement and enhancement (example - filing enhancement defects, testing new features)
Ability to own the TAC lab - setup static PODS and maintenance
Understanding Network designs and topologies
Produces and shares intellectual capital (including documentation and training) within technology and adjacent areas for internal audiences, Global Delivery Partners, and customers
Ability to mentor junior level engineers in the technology area
Knowledge of WireShark and can analyze traffic flows to properly root cause network and/or application issue
Routing & Switching and/or Data Center background (example: Platform knowledge -IOS-XE/Nexus)
Expertise in Linux and virtualization/Microservices architecture - Dockers/Kubernetes certification
Experience with SDWAN preferred
Knowledge in VPN, or other security technologies preferred
Protocols : BGP, OSPF and EIGRP, MPLS
Platforms : IOS-XE, vEdge, vManage, Nexus switches, Catalyst family
