A local client is in need of experienced workers skilled in wood working and carpentry. Applicants are preferred to already have access to government compounds or military installations, but this is not mandatory.
Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.
Primary responsibilities:
-Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
-Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
-Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
-Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
-Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
-Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
-Work with prefabricated buildings.
-Build stairs, mantles, and basic furniture.
-Install cabinets and molding.
-Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors.
-Install partitions, doors, and windows.
Applicant requirements:
- Must be physically fit and can lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have attention to detail, follow safety rules and regulations
- Must already possess personal carpentry tools/equipment
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Must be punctual with a strong work ethic
Wages:
Wages range from $13 - $16 per hour and will be based on level of experience.
