Nor'Banks Sailing and Watersports in Duck is looking for a full time retail manager for our new expanded Retail and Reservation Center in Duck. The retail manager will help us build our new retail department and assist in managing the overall shoreside operations for our rentals and activities.
The best candidates will have retail management, sales, staging and/or purchasing experience. We are looking for someone to take a major role in shaping and helping us grow into our large new retail space.
The retail manager will also assist as a supervisor in the reservation center. The position requires excellent multitasking, communication and problem solving skills. The manager is a direct supervisor of the office staff and coordinates reservations, schedules, sales and monetary transactions. The office is the epicenter of our business where we sell activities and rentals, greet and sign-in customers.
Great people skills both on the phone and in person are a must. We are a high volume business and we are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills to help keep us running efficiently. Candidates must be able to remain friendly, professional and detail oriented while dealing quickly and efficiently with a high volume of customers. Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential to your success in this position.
The retail manager will work in the brand new new open-air retail and reservation center at our beautiful location on the sound in Duck. All of our staff have access to WaveRunners, sailboats, parasailing, kayaking, S.U.P.s, motorboats, tubing, wakeboarding and water skiing as well as various watersports instruction.
Salary will be hourly plus commission on sales. Exact rate is negotiable and will be commensurate with ability and experience. This position is seasonal, from May through September. There is room for advancement and additional pay for excellent candidates that are willing and able to take on more responsibility.
