Earlier this year we sold our ecommerce business to a private equity firm in New York. We are now beginning a new e-commerce venture, which will be built through acquiring and combining small businesses as well as from-scratch startups.
Role Description
We are looking for a person to join our team to be a business and operations manager. We are open to experienced people or a trainee as well as people who have some experience.
As a small startup we all play a lot of roles - expected and unexpected.
In general the role will include:
- Management of small delivery projects covering development of physical and digital products - working with outsourced staff globally
- Delivery of regular KPIs to track performance and progress of the business
- Ensure that the business is fully compliant with local, national and international regulations (no upfront expertise needed here)
- Work with suppliers in US, Asia and Europe to source products
- Manage inventory and the logistics chain from manufacturer to customer Build and manage a small customer service capability
We are open to inexperienced but talented people (recent graduate or possibly student), as well as people from the workforce, whether experienced in this area or not. Talent and enthusiasm are more important than anything else.

The role will be part-time contract basis to start and can move to full time as we grow the business over the next few months. We are flexible on arrangements and this will be discussed with the successful candidate.
The role will be mostly remote with regular weekly face-to-face catchup meetings. Initial training will be a mix of face-to-face, Zoom calls and online training courses. You must have your own quality computer and a reliable internet connection at home.
