RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Catalyst Switch Support Engineer for their enterprise networking and cloud solutions client in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC).
Role & Responsibilities:
You'll provide level 3 technical support for Catalyst Switching products
You can analyze, configure, and troubleshoot layer-2/layer-3 enterprise switched networks
Build moderate-to-complex lab setups to duplicate and solve customer problems
You love developing and delivering technical training's to global delivery partners and other TAC teams
You work with software engineering to improve product quality by filing software defects and testing fixes
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required or 4+ years related experience
You have working knowledge of layer 2/layer 3 protocols and technologies, including:
Spanning Tree
DHCP
Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP)
Multicast (PIM & IGMP)
MPLS
QoS
VLAN and VTP
Etherchannel
VSS
Stackwise Virtual
Wireshark
Experience troubleshooting network or application performance issues
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to effectively use Windows/MacOS
