Job Details: This position provides audiovisual design and implementation for smart classroom technology, digital signage, and remote conferencing equipment; supervises new installations of audiovisual equipment to ensure proper completion and compliance with standards and codes set by the client; and ensures existing audiovisual technology updates and outages are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Designs audiovisual technology solutions for digital signage, classrooms, conference rooms, and lecture halls based on client-defined criteria. Provides direct support and advanced problem determination for audiovisual-related devices and software applications used in College business process and academic environments. Collaborates with vendors to review vendor provided audiovisual technology designs and ensure compliance with College standards and use parameters. Conducts research into audiovisual technologies as they relate to College business needs and continuously maintains an expert understanding of audiovisual technology and developments within the industry. Mentors and trains audiovisual team on new technologies. Provides guidance to faculty and staff regarding audiovisual standards, audiovisual technology use and maintenance, and audiovisual technology sustainability and lifecycle. Creates, obtains, and maintains proper documentation and specifications for audiovisual technology, use of audiovisual solutions, and proper maintenance procedures for audiovisual technologies. Responds to emergency situations as needed, during and after normal business hours, to identify, assess and mitigate critical operational issues. Maintains records of audiovisual technology levels, locations, and usage. Consults on development of audiovisual standards and implementations. Reviews architectural designs for facilities and buildings related to audiovisual technology for functionality, usability, and compliance to standards. Schedules vendor services to repair, replace, or install audiovisual equipment as needed. Consults on audiovisual technology lifecycle and refresh strategic planning. Knowledge of Extron audiovisual equipment is required.
