Job Title: Data Security Engineer Location: Raleigh, NC or San Francisco, CA or San Antonio, TX (Remote till COVID Subside) Duration: Fulltime / Direct Hire
Keys to the role:
We seek a Data Security Engineer with Software Development experience using languages like Python, AWS Lambda, R.
Automation of hunting and/or detection
Develop use cases using advanced analytic techniques that help detect threats and generate insight for our Product/Application teams
Work in high-complex products and within a team environment.
Analyze security logs to identify information and features that can be used in correlation and threat detection
Develop a proof of concept hunting and/or detection workflows.
Helping others develop data science solutions to automate or simply decision making.
Mine, clean, process, transform and join data from a variety of sources including AWS environments, ServiceNow, Jira, internal systems, and flat files.
Identify, wrangle, scrape, and assemble new data sources from the web, data aggregators, and public sources
Provide creative and innovative solutions and serve as a thought leader
Qualifications:
Demonstrated use of machine and deep learning concepts and key algorithms
Solid working (hands on preferred) understanding of big data technology
Depth in at least one domain where machine learning is applied
Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem solving skills
Ability to quickly explore, evaluate and learn new technologies
