In this role, you will manage global strategy to help the Global Deal Desk achieve their business goals. You’ll focus on improving deal-throughput, customer buying experiences and operational efficiency. You’ll need to have thorough experience of program management, process improvement, transformation, change management and automation planning. As a Global Deal Desk Business Manager, you’ll need to have an interest in and understanding of how technology businesses grow their customer and partner subscriber bases, frequency of purchase and experience across the portfolio leading to increase in profit over time.Primary job responsibilities

Deliver innovative thinking that inspires leading edge solutions and breakthrough programs

Manage and develop a global deal desk strategy focussed on process enhancements, pricing and discounting, customer buying behaviours and automation

Manage relationships with senior stakeholders to gain leadership buy-in for all key initiatives

Provide regular executive communications demonstrating how projects align to strategy and deliver on the business needs; focus on results and measurements

Manage the Deal Desk overall program, providing leadership, integration and management of Project Management Office (PMO) and Change Management processes and functions to improve the consistency and efficiency of project delivery

Build and oversee the development and distribution of core global projects and provide strategic guidance that set the direction across all 5 geographies

Develop measurable project and strategy key performance indicators (KPIs)

Identify, develop and oversee the delivery of unique and innovative approaches to deliver the Global Deal Desk strategy

Provide new insights to the strategy development process to help the teams adapt to better programmatic thinking

Use qualitative and quantitative communications channels to raise awareness of priorities and programs impacting the wider business

Partner with analytics and data teams to understand business impacts and financial risks of projects

Lead brainstorming team sessions to generate creative and compelling program solutions

Work with multiple stakeholders across departments to unlock new growth opportunities

Be responsible for leading and delivering multiple simultaneous programs

Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders, and that KPIs are monitored and evaluated

Identify and define the major strategic issues and integrate diverse stakeholder interests to inform the development and prioritisation of project initiatives, and understand and proactively mitigate risks

Required skills

10+ years in a leadership or management role leading a PMO office and high-impacting programs

Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a distributed, global, multicultural organization

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, agile certifications, or similar project management certification

Prosci certification

Experience with Red Hat technologies; familiarity with products, solutions and go to market strategy

Business knowledge and skills to engage business leaders on business terms and deliver business solutions

Combined background of services and sales or sales experience

Empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth

Analytical and process-oriented mindset

Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent presentation skills

Deep financial and operational understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models

Customer service focus, including the ability to deliver multiple priority projects with high customer satisfaction in a rapidly changing environment
