Position Description:

Overview:
This person will be working remotely and on site. They must pick up their equipment on their first day.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducting study to identify gaps / information.
  • Lead project planning sessions.
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines.
  • Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and participate in study to identify data/information gaps.
  • Develop interview instrument(s) for information gathering sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Organize timeline of study tasks and ensure tasks are tracked and on schedule.
  • Document information gathering sessions with stakeholders and SMEs to identify.
  • Collection, availability, and accessibility.
  • Data quality / completeness.
  • Data needs (Client-specific needs, needs of policymakers, etc.)
  • Gaps in existing criminal justice information systems or information sharing/availability from a public policy perspective.
  • Recommendations for improving all the above (including new or planned information systems or changes to systems that may improve access to reliable criminal justice data/information).
  • Assist with preparation and drafting of final report.
  • Knowledge of data collections and/or methods preferably associated within the criminal justice domain.
  • Interpreting study specifications and developing a work plan that satisfies requirements.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal, and telephonic communication/documentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge in criminal justice data gaps.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in conducting studies in field of criminal/juvenile justice.
  • Experience in study data gap/needs
