As a trusted partner to our client, Corus360 is looking to hire a
Senior Programmer Analyst for a full-time (C2H) opportunity in Raleigh, NC. This position requires you to be onsite Monday-Friday. The client has taken all necessary precautions for a safe environment for their employees.
In this position, you will provide support for the in-house developed .Net CIS and Credit Card applications. Your initial focus will be to support and enhance internally developed VB.Net applications, as well as the potential to develop new applications within Visual Studio. Further focus will involve supporting mainframe COBOL applications in both CICS and batch environments, as well as participating in on-call rotation. Support and enhancement of purchased software solutions will become a secondary focus of the position.
Requested Experience:
Four-year degree and three to five years programming experience.
Strong experience with Visual Studio 2012 or above in either VB or C# as web applications, web services, Windows applications and services, using XML and consuming web services. JavaScript or jQuery experience.
Using IIS and experience deploying and securing web applications.
Experience with SQL is required. DB2 and/or SQL Server is a plus.
Any mainframe experience, JCL, COBOL/CICS, TSO, ISPF etc. will be a great asset. Willingness to learn is a plus.
Exposure or experience with JAVA programming platform will be an asset along with the willingness to become proficient in the technology.
Knowledge and experience with object oriented analysis and programming, and distributed architecture design techniques.
General knowledge of insurance applications will be an asset.
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support for production applications.
Interface with users.
Analyze and design applications.
Analyze and implement modifications to systems.
Write program specifications.
Prepare test data for unit testing.
Research problems.
Make program modifications when appropriate.
Document systems and modifications to systems.
Provide on-call support on a scheduled basis.
