Mirantis is adding a

Windows Platform Technical Support Engineer to our team! We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer who is a Microsoft platform technical expert and polished communicator who is inherently interested in solving complex problems and delivering a high-level of customer satisfaction with every customer interaction. You will work closely with Docker Enterprise Engineering, Product Management, and other roles within our Customer Success organization to represent the voice of the customer.

Mirantis’ Docker Enterprise Support team is on a mission to delight the millions of developers and system administrators that rely on Docker Enterprise to build, ship, and run their distributed applications. Our customer base spans individuals developers and large global enterprises. We are seeking a Support Engineer to provide world-class technical support for Docker Enterprise on Microsoft platforms (Azure and Windows Server).

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION. YOU MUST BE LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES.

Main Responsibilities

  • Apply your existing Microsoft platform knowledge and experience to provide global enterprise-class technical support for the Docker Enterprise platform on Windows Server and Azure
  • Become an expert on the Docker Enterprise container engine and Kubernetes orchestration
  • Be Supports “Microsoft Guru” by providing expert level knowledge of the Microsoft Ecosystem to our customers, external partners and other members of the Support team.
  • Serve as the ‘voice of the customer’ to other parts of the Mirantis organization for Azure and Windows Server related support issues
  • Create best-in-class self-help assets for our publicly-facing knowledge management system
  • Partner with support teams from technology partners to collaborate and resolve customer issues spanning multiple platforms and operating systems
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to complex problems that span multiple layers of the technology stack
  • Engage with the Docker Enterprise Engineering team to resolve technical issues
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Rotational on-call duty

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years technical support experience in a Microsoft environment (on-prem, virtual, public cloud and/or hybrid cloud environments)
  • 2+ years experience administering the MSFT ecosystem via Powershell
  • Experience with network administration and Virtual networking
  • Familiarity with major Linux distributions
  • Extensive troubleshooting experience, using third party tools as well as Windows native diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with the software development practices such as Git workflows, CI/CD, and microservices is a plus
  • Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration via Swarm, Mesos, Kubernetes or other tools is a plus
