Infranet Technologies, a growing IT infrastructure service and management provider, seeks an additional Datacenter Engineer to join our team to support our expansion and business growth. In addition to ongoing support, the firm provides advanced technology solutions such as data storage, voice over IP, cybersecurity, advanced data networking, and virtualization.
Our Datacenter Engineers directly implement datacenter projects involving VMware and provide support for customer datacenters. Infranet primarily deploys Dell EMC, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, Veeam, Zerto, and Barracuda products. The Datacenter Engineer will join an experienced team of engineers for installation projects as well as supporting a growing base of deployed systems. The successful Datacenter Engineer will have experience administering Microsoft and VMware servers.

Locations: Raleigh, NC

Work Experience: 3 or more years of experience in systems administration and broad IT experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IS, IT, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Certifications: VCTA, VCP, MCSA, MCSA, or MCA

Minimum Required Skills: Strong technical, problem solving, and communication skills combined with a foundation in mainstream business technologies.

Preferred Skills: Virtualization using VMware, Windows server administration, group policy, SAN administration, Active Directory administration, replication and business continuity, server backup tools, hybrid cloud environments

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provide escalation support for datacenter issues
  • Configure and install servers, SANs, and backup products as part of solutions projects
  • Identify gaps in existing environments
  • Assist in designing solutions to client needs related to datacenter technologies
  • Document designs, configurations, and work performed
  • Maintain knowledge of professional trends
  • Communicate with customer users

Job Requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Deep knowledge of VMware
