Position: Line Cook
Commitment: Full-time position
Reports to: Chef de Cuisine/General Manager
Location: Acme Food & Beverage Co (Carrboro, NC)
Since 1998 Acme has been serving damn good Southern American cuisine, signature cocktails, fine wines, and craft beers in the heart of historic downtown Carrboro. Chef/Owner Kevin Callaghan draws inspiration from the seasonal rhythms and flavors of his childhood and uses fresh local ingredients to create Southern American dishes in a fine dining setting.
The ideal candidate is irrefutably trustworthy and dependable, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and understanding of customer service and hospitality. They derive pleasure from providing hospitality and exhibit excellent emotional self-awareness under pressure while maintaining a warm presence. They want to be part of a positive, enthusiastic, and supportive work environment, and to take responsibility for their own part in maintaining great work culture.
Acme is a certified Living Wage Employer. We guarantee a minimum $15.40/hr for all hourly employees, front and back of house.
What we expect from you:
Two years of experience working in a kitchen
A sincere love and appreciation for delicious food

Food safety knowledge
