A Place at the Table, a pay-what-you-can cafe in Raleigh, is seeking a part-time temporary line cook. The back of house Cafe Staff are serving up homemade recipes for breakfast and lunch. Must be able to work quickly and competently, as well as prepare several orders at once. They prepare ingredients and cook menu items while keeping the work area clean and safe. They are knowledgeable about our food and the organization's mission. They share our values and are dedicated to the goal of bringing the community together with nutritious food.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience preparing food and cooking at a restaurant
A passion for preparing nutritious menu items that taste great and use fresh ingredients
Computer literate - proficient in Excel, point of sale systems, internet and email applications
ServSafe certified
A Place at the Table is a non-profit pay what you can cafe that is located in downtown Raleigh. Our mission is to provide community and healthy food for all regardless of means. We have a welcoming and inviting space that provides an opportunity for all people to experience conversation and community while enjoying an excellent, fresh, and healthy meal.
We are serving breakfast and lunch only. Our hours of operation are 8am to 1pm Wednesday through Sunday.
