Pizzeria Mercato located in downtown Carrboro is looking to add to its already strong kitchen team with PM cooks. It has been a busy summer and we are growing! Our menu changes all the time which makes cooking with the season fun; and the Carrboro Farmer's Market directly across the street helps drives what we do here. Interesting small plates, vegetable dishes, neapolitan-style pizzas, pasta, and much more make this a lot more than just a pizza place. In only three years, our team has been nominated for 2 James Beard Awards, been recognized by Bon Appetit as one of the best new pizza restaurants(2016), and our chef Gabe Barker was named one of Eater's best chefs in the country under 30 years old.
We are looking to add people to our team who are ok moving fast but really care about the quality of food they put out.
Night-time and weekend availability is a must. Our average cook works between 40-45 hours/week with super competitive wages ($12-15/hr.) based on experience but most importantly a willingness to learn our system, communicate, and a positive attitude.
