GHG Restaurants is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill one of the positions in our Wake Forest location, Farm Table Kitchen and Bar. The Sous Chef reports to the Executive chef, assists in the management of the kitchen team, and works closely with the front of house management.

Job Description.

Quality Control. You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of our food meets every aspect and standard from the kitchen to the delivery at our guest’s table.

Leadership/Teamwork. We have a commitment for creating a successful work environment, where everyone is inspired daily and enjoys working each day. As a kitchen manager you are responsible for training, scheduling, and managing a team that aligns with our core values. Communication is an important factor as you instruct cooks on prep, cooking and presentation of our consistent, high quality dishes.

Safety Environment and Measurement. You will be responsible for ensuring every kitchen team member is following the standards and regulations for food safety (both internal and NC Health Department) and keeping team members up to date on all the standards and regulations.

Job Skills & Requirements

Must have at least 4 years kitchen experience, and be knowledgeable in food production, including tools, sourcing, storing, and handling.

You must be a dependable, honest, professional and hardworking individual.

Needs to have communication skills and can clearly relay instructions to others.

A strive for great hospitality, and to make every meal memorable.

You need to have time management and prioritization skills.

Must work well as a team player and leave ego at the door.

Lead by example.
