We are seeking a full time (24/7) live in provider for my disabled son who has type 1 (insulin required) diabetes and needs assistance in managing his diabetic care such as helping him count carbs, helping to administer correct dosage of insulin and other medications.
Other job duties include: Grocery shopping, Cooking (3) meals per day, cleaning of home with assistance of my son, Transportation to doctor appointments, day programs and any other activities required. Provide companionship by engaging with son on various activities such as watching TV/Movies, playing cards, preparing meals together or any other appropriate activities.
Personal qualities desired in a caregiver: The desire to develop a fully engaged relationship with my son, good communication, positive energy, good listener, sense of humor, reliable, respectful, caring, patient, observant and good reasoning skills.
You must furnish your own vehicle to provide transportation to doctor appointments, day programs, grocery store, etc.
Background, Drug Screening and References will be required.
Job Type: Full-time live in (24/7)
Previous Required Experience: 1 year In Home care.
